It is an abomination to God when we seek to see the future through horoscopes, fortune-telling, or seek one who casts a spell, or a medium, or spiritism. People who do this fails to seek God’s direction for their lives.
Newspapers and magazines usually have a horoscope section, and how many of us read it instinctively. I did it when I was still of the ‘old man’ nature, and oh!, how ignorant was I about God’s warnings.
It is written:
Leviticus 19:31 NKJV
Give no regard to mediums and familiar spirits; do not seek after them, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 20:6 NKJV
And the person who turns to mediums and familiar spirits, to prostitute himself with them, I will set My face against that person and cut him off from his people.
God’s punishment of Saul for seeking guidance from a medium, instead of seeking counsel from the true God, is recorded in 1 Chronicles 10: 13-14 NKJV:

So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a medium for guidance. But he did not inquire of the LORD; therefore He killed him, and turned the kingdom over to David the son of Jesse.
It is written:
1 John 4: 4,5 NKJV
You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are of the world. Therefore they speak as of the world, and the world hears them.
Yes, these enemies belong to the world, and it is very important and necessary that we guard our hearts and minds from being persuaded or influenced by them. What some people considered unthinkable at previous times in their lives is what they so often incline to in moments of weakness. These enemies lead people into a trap of sin, for with high-sounding false words, they promise them good fortune, health and freedom while they themselves are slaves of destructive habits—for we are slaves of anything that has conquered us.
Isaiah 8:20
To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Jesus gave us some guidelines for protection in the Sermon on the Mount.
Matthew 6:22-23
The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
If the light inside you is dark, you are surely in the dark! Our behavior needs to be guarded by the light of God’s Word, which also means we need to be careful about what we allow to enter our body through our senses, especially the eyes and the ears.
Trust your future to the God who created, formed and made you. Remember what God said to Jeremiah:
Jeremiah 17:5 NKJV
Thus says the LORD: “Cursed is the man who trusts in man And makes flesh his strength, Whose heart departs from the LORD
Hebrews 10:39 NKJV
But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.
As a ‘born again’ child of God, you have defeated the false prophets, because the Spirit who is in you is more powerful than the spirit in those who belong to the world.
1 John 4:6 NKJV
We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error
Let us hold on firmly to the hope we profess, because we can trust God to keep ALL that He promised.
Hebrews10:23 NKJV
“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
