A) Praising God:

Scriptural prayers often included, praises of glory and the greatness of God.  Jesus began by praising God’s name “let your name be kept holy”  Luke 11:2 GW. Many of the Psalms start with praise. Psalm 86:5-12 NKJV

Teach me Your way, O Lord; I will walk in Your truth; Unite my heart to fear Your name. I will praise You, O Lord my God, with all my heart, And I will glorify Your name forevermore.

By reading the scriptures below, you can see how God’s people paid particular attention and made mention of the works of God in prayer and praised God in prayer.

You will find many other verses throughout His word, that show God’s great qualities and works for which God deserves our praise, surely we ought to be praising God in prayer for all that He has done. Mediate on these verses and others like it, as to why He deserves our praise in what He has already given us.
