1. What Should We Pray About?

What should we include in our prayers?

On some days our minds go blank.  We know we should pray, but for some reason, we cannot seem to think of much to say, or what to say, and sometimes we may end up not praying at all. Sometimes we may even say inappropriate things or say things that are unscriptural or sometimes we may just repeat memorized phrases that we may have heard or read from others.

By examining the Holy Scriptures, we can look at some examples of prayer, to get a guideline, on:

  1. How God’s people in the Scriptures spoke to God about in prayer?
  2. How do our prayers compare with theirs?
  3. Are our prayers scriptural?
  4. Can we improve our prayers by considering how these believers prayed and what they prayed for?
