Inside Out – Vince Finnegan

  1. Christian Living

Inside OutJesus’ teachings were radical, the opposite of our normal, yet comprise everything necessary for “the good life” that we all desire. Alcoholics Anonymous and the numerous other Twelve Step programs have their spiritual roots in the Bible–specifically in the Sermon on the Mount (Jesus’ first teaching), 1Corinthians 13, and the book of James. Inside Out brings to light the biblical perspective AA’s pioneers developed, practiced, and proved effective. Students experienced the following from participation in the class:

A New and Better Life — The life with God is a unique, exciting adventure and superior in many ways to the ordinary mundane existence. Jesus said it well: “I am come that they might have life and have it more abundantly.” John 10:10 Peace of Mind — God’s acceptance and forgiveness eliminate insecurities, anxiety, fear, and shame. Jesus, the Prince of peace, brings peace. “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you.” John 14:27

Love and Belonging — The security and comfort of belonging to God and His family is the most satisfying reality anyone can enjoy. You are loved and valued.

Purposeful and Meaningful Life that Honors God and Serves Others — You can make a difference! God’s purpose and power eradicate the humdrum pointlessness and ineffectiveness of life.

“We are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10
